Supporting the Monasteries, Nunneries, and Humanitarian Projects of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche

Be calm, kind, and clear. This is the most valuable thing we human beings can learn, train in and master. To be happy and live in harmony, liberate our minds and free others, this is my deep wish. This is why I take care of monks and nuns. This is why I share the precious teachings with people from all countries.

Help meet the $200,000 Challenge Grant to rebuild the three-year retreat facility for the nuns of Nagi Gompa Nunnery

We are thrilled to announce that the Pema Chodron Foundation has awarded Shedrub Development Fund (SDF) a $300,000 grant toward the construction of a three-year retreat facility for the nuns at Nagi Gompa. It is extremely exciting news since as in the past, two thirds of the nuns had completed three-year retreats, but that possibility essentially disappeared when the retreat facility was destroyed by the earthquake in 2015.

$200,000 of the $300,000 is a challenge grant, which means it is only awarded if SDF raises that amount of money on its own. Please consider joining us in rebuilding the retreat facility by making a donation. Donations of any amount will greatly help us meet our goal. As you join us by donating, the number below will increase.

Help provide housing and upgraded facilities for Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery’s expanding community of monks

Isn’t the presence of the Buddha’s teachings in our world extremely precious? How can we best preserve the Buddhist doctrine? This is what I’ve asked myself again and again—how can we secure the Buddhadharma for future generations? Who can perfectly maintain and uphold the teachings?
