Welcome to our initiative to expand libraries at Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery School and Nagi Gompa Nunnery. This project aims to provide quality education and resources to young monks and nuns, empowering them to thrive as traditionally trained monastics who also understand the modern world.
Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery School
At Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling, we believe in offering a holistic education that blends traditional monastic teachings with a modern curriculum. Our Children’s Library expansion project aims to create a vibrant and enriching environment for our young monks, who receive traditional monastic teachings alongside their studies in modern subjects.
The secular dimension of their education empowers them to navigate, and ultimately help, the world beyond the monastery. Our Children’s Library serves as a vital resource in this endeavor, providing access to literature in Tibetan, Nepali, and English languages, nurturing a love for reading and learning among our students.
Nagi Gompa Nunnery
Located in a remote area, Nagi Gompa Nunnery faces some challenges in accessing modern educational resources. Our newly built library will offer young nuns the opportunity to explore the wider world through books.
Equipped with basic bookshelves in an increasingly comfortable space, we are now focused on building a robust collection of books in Tibetan, Nepali, and English languages. Our goal is to acquire about 10,000 books to empower the nuns with tools for education and personal growth.
How You Can Help
You can support our project by making a financial donation or by donating children’s books and literature in Tibetan, Nepali, and English languages. Your contribution will help us create conducive learning environments where students and nuns can develop a lifelong love for reading and learning.
Your support, no matter the size, will leave a lasting impact on the education of our young monastics and all those with whom they connect throughout their virtuous lives.
Thank you for joining us on this journey of education and empowerment!
