Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and Nagi Nunnery in Nepal are the heart of the international Shedrub Mandala. From these authentic Buddhist monastic institutions, the Buddha’s teachings on wisdom and compassion spread through a global network of centers around the world. They also support social action in Nepal—from providing traditional and secular education to young children from rural villages, to offering food packages to subsistence workers impacted by the pandemic, to supporting women’s health and empowerment.
The legendary Cher along with prominent musical artists and special guest, Richard Gere, have come together in support of Ka-Nying Shedrub Ling Monastery and Nagi Gompa Nunnery. Renowned Tibetan Buddhist meditation master and abbot of the monastery, Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche, will give a brief teaching and introduction before the concert.
